In Moving Images Project 3, we were asked to research 3 or 4 true weird stories, to work for our animation project. I have decided to choose this story out of the few i researched on.
Sent Packing
Charles 25, had four weeks of vacation coming, so he decided to visit his parents. Rather than buying a plane ticket for $320, He, a shipping clerk, packed himself into a shipping crate and air-expressed himself home, charging the fees to his employer. When the crate was delivered to his parents' front step, He pushed out of the box and shook hands with the "shaken and frightened" delivery driver. The driver called the police. After an investigation by the FBI, he was charged as a stowaway, a federal misdemeanor. If he had only waited for the driver to leave, he would have been home free.

Think about who the audience is most likely to empathise with in your story... charles or the driver? Tell the story focusing on that person's experience.
ReplyDeleteWhen you read the story, which part made you decide that this was the funniest story you had found. That part of the story is likely to be the funniest part for your audience too, so make that the key point in telling the story.
